Today, we are pleased to introduce Olga, who recently joined us as Tender Manager and PPE Garment Certification Lead. With an extensive background in technical textiles, Olga brings valuable knowledge and a fresh perspective to our organization.
1. Can you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to join our team?
I hold a PhD in Textile Engineering and have over 20 years of experience in the textile industry.
I am passionate about technical textiles, and my entire career has been focused on this field. I started in a consultancy specialized in technical textiles, then moved into training companies, followed by roles in fabric purchasing, product development, and managing tenders and certifications. In my most recent experience, I transitioned into sales.
Throughout these stages, I have gained valuable knowledge and experience that have given me a comprehensive understanding of the technical textile sector.
I was drawn to the Vallfirest project from the very beginning, as it will allow me to focus and specialize further in the firefighting sector.
2. What unique perspective or strengths are you excited to bring to this role?
My extensive experience in the textile sector allows me to contribute a broad range of knowledge gained throughout my professional career, particularly in product development and garment certification.
3. What are you most looking forward to in this new chapter with us?
I am looking forward to continuing to learn every day alongside my colleagues at Vallfirest. It is a company made up of a young, dynamic team, full of enthusiasm and eager to keep growing both personally and professionally.
